We invite you to come journey with us again around one of the oldest and most recognized medicine wheels on Turtle Island. The Arapaho call it "Hii Eeinoonotii." Otherwise known as the Bighorn Medicine Wheel, located in the Bighorn National Forest Park in Wyoming. This medicine wheel sits high on the Bighorn mountain range, said to be thousands of years old, astronomically aligned to certain constellations, and resoundingly strong with the elements and spirits of the area.
The Medicine Wheel, recognized as the womb of creation holds the power of 7 in each of it's direction, creation is represented here by the tree of light, from the micro to macro - the cosmology of time & space. Our ancestors knew and advocated for what the great wheel meant and the teachings it brought them, being a map/conscious compass from the heart of Great Spirit to the people.
Join us for this powerful SpiritQuest starting August 17th and ending on August 20th. We will be visiting and camping, setting prayers and intentions at the sacred mountains of Togowotee (Jackson hole, WY), and having sweat lodge & pipe ceremony in the Tetons.
Our family and good friends from Fort Washakie (Harvey & Lamar of the Spoonhunter family) will be sharing in these ceremonies with us and also sharing what native traditional style dance is with our group. We then plan will cross the great Yellowstone park visiting Old faithful and/or Yellowstone lake for a break and connection in prayer.
Once in Wyoming we will be staying in the land of a local renowned Crystal healer Linda Thomas who has been working and teaching with crystals and stones for over 44 years now, just outside of Cody, WY. And of course our visitation and prayers with the sacred Bighorn Medicine Wheel. As always our pilgrimages are with the principles of our ancestors, our beloved Mother Earth, and exercising our connection with Spirit.
